Offshore platform for container ship docking connected to an offshore viaduct.

The Eiffage Génie Civil Marine teams have reached a significant milestone with the driving of the 650th pile at sea. The piles, measuring 65 to 84 meters in height and 1.5 meters in diameter, are entirely fabricated on site from steel coils in a dedicated factory and installed in a single length. These works are carried out in-house, using our maritime equipment mobilized on site, notably our barge EGCM004 equipped with a 400-ton crane.

The piles will support a concrete deck constructed using specially designed formwork tools for the project, enabling the completion of 1,350 m² of deck, or 1,200 m³ of concrete, in a single formwork position. The concrete is produced nearby by a batching plant installed on our barge EGCM003.

The 3.5 km-long offshore viaduct continues to progress, with 1.5 km completed to date thanks to the installation of 30-meter prestressed beams, placed by sea using a 600-ton crane mounted on a 100-meter-long barge.

The bridge crossing the Rio Leone, with a central span of 165 meters, is taking shape. The two mobile crews, starting from each bank, are close to meeting and finalizing the deck construction.

Onshore, as the operational buildings and warehouses rise, network works and the future 33-hectare logistics platform are progressing. The first zones have been cleared to begin the assembly of the eRTG gantries that will operate at the port.
