The Winston Churchill Center inaugurated by King Charles III in Ver-sur-Mer (14)
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, the Winston Churchill Center was inaugurated on June 6th at the site of the British Normandy Memorial in Ver-sur-Mer by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, in the presence of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
The teams at Eiffage Route are very proud to have contributed to the construction of this memorial pavilion, which includes two exhibition galleries, one specifically dedicated to the soldiers and participants of the Battle of Normandy, an educational space, an inner courtyard, and a café shop. This venue will allow future generations to keep alive the memory of those who fought for freedom.
We thank the Normandy Memorial Trust and the Seulles Terre et Mer community of municipalities for their renewed trust following the completion of the British Normandy Memorial by our teams on the site in 2021.
A project successfully completed alongside: Savare of Eiffage Construction, Spie batignolles, Vallois, Polyform Architects, Groupe France Architectures, and Barker Langham.
