Eiffage Métal signs the new glass roof of the headquarters of the National Federation of French Mutual Insurance
For over three years, the Eiffage Métal teams have been involved in the design, fabrication, and installation of the glass roof of the atrium in the building, located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.
An exceptional structure, envisioned by architect Rudy Ricciotti, and engineered by the design offices of Eiffage Métal and LRING.
The glass roof stands out for its unique architectural design, resembling a dragonfly wing. It is composed of:
- 30 UHPC (ultra-high-performance concrete) panels, each 9 meters long
- 652 glass panes
For Rami Hoblos, Martine Nicolas, and their teams, who were responsible for bringing it to life, the very complex geometry of the structure, requiring high-tech materials delivered and assembled in a very constrained environment, necessitated several months of studies, two ATEX certifications, and no less than eight months of on-site work.
This project reflects Eiffage Métal's commitment and expertise in creating exceptional structures, combining innovation, heritage preservation, and technical challenges.
We thank all the teams and partners involved in this project.
